| Snow tires are specifically designed to deal with our Canadian winters and all the ice, snow & salt that is on the road. Snow tires are designed with softer & more durable rubber compounds that help your vehicle grip the road during very cold weather. Some tires may have a silica compound in them that helps the tire melt the snow and ice as it goes along, as well as added groove capacity to help remove snow from the contact point between your tire and the road. Regular all-season tires just can't compare. A study conducted by the Quebec Ministry of Transport showed a proper winter tire can improve braking by up to 25 per cent over an all-season radial and can improve collision avoidance by about 38 per cent. Installing snow tires can mean the difference by getting your vehicle and your family home safely during bad weather. Winter tires should be installed after the temperature drops below, and removed once the temperature goes above 7 degrees Celsius. This year, we are again pleased to provide you with 3 levels of winter tire protection: (1) Toyo tires are our recommended tire-of-choice because of their extremely high level of winter performance, high quality manufacturing, excellent durability and sensible price; (2) Our premium tire choices (varies depending on vehicle) offer excellent winter driving characteristics but can be more expensive and may not have the longevity you require, and; (3) Economical tires offer a significant savings over many other tire options and are a reasonable choice that will cover your basic winter needs. Winter tire packages include: 4 steel rims, 4 winter tires, mounting, balancing, installation, and all necessary wheel nuts & valve stems. Taxes are not included. Tire pressure monitors are available at an additional cost. | We strongly ecommend steel rims to complement your winter tires. By purchasing a steel wheel and winter package (rims & snow tires) you will ensure that your factory alloy wheels are kept from the harsh winter road conditions that can affect their finish and appearance. Simply purchasing winter tires without rims will result in mounting and balancing charges twice a year. After two seasons, on average, your rims will pay for themselves in the money and time you will save. Steel rims are designed to fit your vehicle perfectly with a self-centering hub. 14 inch steel rims from………………..$ 59.95 each 15 inch steel rims from………………..$110.00 each 16 inch steel rims from………………..$ 98.95 each 17 inch steel rims from ………………..$109.95 each |
